High-Speed Lens / SuperSpeed

Impressive images captured in low light always begin with a fast lens for a system or a motion picture camera. Because, a fast, high-performance lens captures as much light as possible. And a lens with a large maximum aperture leads to the best results when shooting in unfavourable light.

Ideal aperture with nine blades

Filmmakers want to guide the observer through the image. Minimal depth of focus is often used as a design
element. This keeps the background intentionally blurred to keep the attention of the observer on the main subject.
These different representations of the blurred areas, as well as the quality of the transition, are referred to as
the Bokeh of a lens. The finely tuned features of the optical design on the 35mm lenses ensure
a particularly harmonious effect of the blurred areas of the image.
The nine diaphragm blades and the resulting, virtually circular aperture on the 35mm lenses are crucial
to favorable rendition of highlights in the fore and background.

Aspherical design

The aspherical lens design ensures consistent imaging performance throughout the entire focusing range as well
as sharpness to the periphery of the image. The asphere's more complex surface profile can reduce
or eliminate spherical aberration and also reduce other optical aberrations compared to a simple lens.

Precise manual focus

Manually focusing a lens means controlling the image result from your fingertips.
A good ergonomic design makes all the difference. The 35mm Super Speed lenses stand out with their large rotation angle which enables precise focusing. Changes are immediately visible in the viewfinder.
The high-quality focusing mechanism moves smoothly and coherent, thus also supporting the intuitive
interaction with the focal plane. The precise engraving in meter and feet (hand painted)
provide additional support for manually focusing.

High-quality all metal mounts

Noticeable quality and high value stability qualify PrimeCircle lenses for decades of intense use.
The high-quality craftsmanship of the all-metal mounts, the easy-to-grip metal focus and the robust cine-style 95mm Front Mount ensure an amazing cinematography experience.
